These rims are seriously strong! If your a big fatty or like to smash wheels get onto the Dodici lads now. Jacob and Alex are a pleasure to deal with - how come Italians are so cool?

Finally had a chance to lace up 003 for Chris which is an neccessarily complicated 32h pattern neccessitating a crows foot layout in order to get 12/8/12 across the flanges. Looks cool but for simplicity production hubs are all 36h, 12/12/12 across the flanges which means they can all be 2 x cross as well for extra goodness. Think we will make the front all radial eh Chris? I'm still learning how best to lace these suckers but so far so good, the best tip being lace it fully but tension up as a 24h first till its perfect (easy with Dodici) then wind some tension into the center flange spokes - leaving those spokes slightly softer tension than the outside spokes. I'll get onto a proper lacing guide soon.

Here's a tease, prototype #002 which was actually a 32h, 8/16/8 spokes. the prod units are all 36h, 12/12/12.
Welcome to GodsCogs, not possible if it wasnt for 2 solid dudes, Chris and Brendan who have for whatever reason commited there own time and skills into this project without even hinting after compensation or recognition. I'll take some time and find the right spot to talk about each others input when i work out how this thing rolls…

Does this thing spell check, coz i suc @ that.

I have no idea where this journey will end, either tears of joy or just tears - this is life and i'm here to max mine out. Hang in tight we have the intial production batch of hubs rolling off the CNC machine as we speak. I expect inside 2 weeks i will have some finished hubs all packaged and ready to be punished. Get back with a comment re prefered anodised colours and finishes. I'm thinking black, silver, polished a give in but we can also have things satin or glossy - watcha think? We will try to keep some raw on hand for something custom if thats your gig. Meantime i've got the last couple of handmade hubs to get laced for a couple of worthy
pedallers in the South Island. I'll chuck a couple of pics up later
this weekend. Keep an eye on the 'About' page for some product detail.

Ad.
